Independence Day 2017

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years to us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show.
Our school also celebrates this festival every year.

The Principal was the Chief Guest of the Programme. He hoisted the national flag on the school building sharp at 9:00 am and sang the National Anthem. Then followed the Cultural Programmes. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited  by the students. Some students also presented the group dance and skits.

In the end the Principal delivered the short speech. He told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs gave for the sake of freedom. In the end of the ceremony, sweet-balls ( laddoos) were distributed among the students.

The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.

This time on 15th August 2017, our PM make us take pledge called New India Pledge ( Sankalp Se Sidhi ). This pledge shall be for making New India by 2022.
The Pledge is –
Let us together pledge towards a Clean India
Let us together pledge towards a Poverty-free India
Also Let us together pledge for a Corruption-free India
Let us together pledge for a Terrorism-free India
Let us pledge towards a Communalism-free
India
Let us together pledge towards a Casteism-free India.

Rakhi Making Competition

Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters symbolized by the tying of a holy thread Rakhi around the wrist of brothers

So on this Raksha Bandha we organized a Rakhi making competition at our school. The competition held in two groups (First Group from class I to IV and second from V to VIII) aimed at enhancing the potential and exhibiting talent of students and to instill the virtues of love and harmony among the young. All the children participated with great zeal in the creative competition of Rakhi making.

The competition saw a number of creative and colourful Rakhis being made by the students. The Rakhis resembled a fusion of modern with traditional style and different un used materials
